On Saturday 10 May at 12 noon, there will be an official unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the mothers and babies of Rosemundy House Mother and Baby Home. This will take place outside Rosemundy House Hotel where the memorial is sited.
This is the first plaque of its kind in England, properly recognising the struggle of single mothers in the 20th century and will be unveiled by one of the mothers who delivered her son there. The arrangements were made by the St Agnes Old Cornwall Society which also funded the plaque.
Members will recall the talk given by Phil Frampton, himself a Rosemundy Baby, in April 2024 which was covered in Newsletter No 99, May 2024.
All are welcome.
